Tami Kubota Thinking of you May 19, 2015

My heart is full of love and prayers today thinking of Taye's birthday and my dear friend from Culver City, Penny and family. May you find comfort in the many memories of her.  I send my love.
Stephanie Takai Sorrow Beyond Bearing September 18, 2014

Hal, Penny,

Our mutual friend Richard in Seattle told me last night.  We are so sorry!  My mom passed in May, and the greatest sorrow in her eighty-plus years of life was that she lost my older brother when he was 5.  Towards the end, she was looking forward to seeing Mikey again...that, I think, was her sustaining hope.

Words are inadequate.  If you ever need anything at all, don't forget us here in Cleveland...we will give all the support we can.

Stephanie and Mark

Dear Penny,
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of Taye.  I rememer meeting her at Alice's after we had dinner there with you and Hal.  She was so amazing, and Rob and I commented on how darling and full of life she was.  I can only let you know that I wish you nothing but healing and peace.
Leventhal's Lighting Candles in Europe August 18, 2014

Dearest Hal, Penny, Kiki & Weston,
Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers.  While we were in Florence, we lit a candle for Taye, Hoddy, my dad (Uncle Jackie), and Aunt Mary at the Duomo.
We also sent our prayers from the Vatican and at St. Peter's Basilica and St. Mark's Church in Venice.
    Be gentle with yourselves.
    With Deepest Sympathy,
Your cousin Suzanne, Andy, Alana and Kyle

Tina & David T. Kiki's Bowdoin Friends July 18, 2014

You and your family have been in our thoughts often since this tragic loss of your precious daughter.  When we met Taye, I was struck by her beauty, the lovliness of being on the cusp between childhood and young adulthood. Tina
MOM And DAD The Little Prince July 17, 2014

In one of the stars
I shall be living
In one of them
I shall be laughing
And so it will be
as if all the stars
were laughing
when you look at the sky at night...
and there is sweetness in the
laughing of ALL the stars and in the
memories of those who LOVE YOU.
~Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Beyond the darkness light...beyond the sorrow peace.  Don and I extend our sympathies for your great loss.
Of all the children at the 2008 Takasugi Reunion, Taye was our favorite.  We loved the expressive faces she made for Mark as he took the photos of the Reunion.  We hope your memories of Taye will sustain you during this difficult time.
