Dissection for Biology |

In fourth grade, Taye was the only one in our group willing to dissect our fish, and I was so thankful to have her in our group. She was fearless and strong. Whenever I saw her draw, it was always a wonder to me how somone so young could be so talented. When I complimented her work, I always recieved a humble response from her.

Cousins in Hawaii |

Taye our most recent memories of you were in Hawaii...
You drew humourous cariactures of faces, and then there was the adventurous swim to the far off island, where you passed a large tiger shark!
I also remember you were doing math homework, while we cousins watched TV! We wish we had more memories, but we cherished out times together in Hawaii.

I loved helping Taye learn to sew. The moment she held up her first finished project, a pillow case, we shared joy!

Storm Cat Flag |
July 9, 2014 |
My favorite Taye memoryis prepping for the Oregon State XC ski meet her freshman year. The team wanted a Summit Flag to fly, so they were going to make one, but they were woefully
unequipped. They got a bed sheet on a pole, and then someone said Taye's a good artist, so they pulled her from her wax bench. She crouched down with a can of spray paint, and in a few strokes made a "Storm Cat" flag. The kids were falling over themselves with glee, running around, waving this flag, saying, "Look what Taye made!"
She watched them silently for a few minutes (with a look that was like, "really?") and then went back to waxing her skis.
That flag got a lot of use!
